The Lampshade Atelier is a New Jersey–based lighting studio specializing in made-to-order, handcrafted lampshades designed with intention and enduring character.
Founded in 2023, the atelier was born from a desire to create thoughtfully composed pieces that honor craftsmanship and timeless decorative traditions. Each lampshade is carefully made to order in our studio, offering a refined and personal way to illuminate your home.
Originally from Madrid, Spain, my creative path has been shaped by travel, culture, and design. After years of living across Europe, my family and I relocated to the United States in 2017, bringing with us a deep respect for artisanal techniques and European decorative heritage.
My passion for interiors has always been intertwined with exploration. Every place I lived revealed its own palette of colors, patterns, and craftsmanship — influences that continue to influence my work today. While studying interior design in Dublin, I refined my eye for composition, texture, and detail, immersed in the richness of European design culture.
Today, those layered influences come together in each piece created at the atelier. No mass production. Just craftmanship, carefully selected fabrics, considered design, and lighting made specifically for you.
